Accident reconstruction is a crucial part of any personal injury practice. This is the method of scientifically recreating every aspect of an accident to determine its cause. At Cullan & Cullan, our team includes Phoenix personal injury lawyers who also have advanced training in accident reconstruction. Dr. Gene Cullan is one of the few plaintiff’s attorneys in the United States who has obtained in-depth training in semi-truck accident reconstruction. Utilizing Accident Reconstruction in an Injury Claim

Not every case will require a detailed accident reconstruction, but we have found it useful in complex traffic and other accident cases where fault or how an injury occurred is in question, and in scenarios where we are determining whether a defective or dangerous product may be responsible for the extent of injury a victim sustained in a collision. We use physical evidence, telematics data, ECM, photographs, witness testimony, skid marks, video footage, and audio footage to put together an accurate recreation of an accident.

Detailed drawings, computer animation, and physical demonstrations can all prove useful in delivering an accident reconstruction to the court, who will have the task of determining whether it is:

  • Accurate
  • Applicable to the case at hand
  • Fair to both sides

If the court deems an accident reconstruction worthy based off the above factors, it may allow it to be entered as evidence. This can effectively prove fault and also damages, including punitive damages. This allows our client the opportunity to recover full financial compensation for the injuries he or she sustained – from the at-fault party.
