Dodge County Wrong Way Crash Kills Two, Injures One

Nebraska's highways can be dangerous. This was illustrated just last week when a man and his wife were killed and another man was seriously injured in a head-on collision. According to a story on Omaha's WOWT, the accident happened on Highway 30 in Dodge County when an SUV crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic and collided with a semi-truck. Both vehicles immediately burst into flames. Two passing drivers managed to rescue the 53-year-old truck driver from his cab. He was flown by helicopter to the Nebraska Medical Center. The driver of the SUV and his wife died at the scene.
The loss of life is always a horrible thing. According to witnesses, the SUV crossed over the line and was going the wrong way, making the truck driver not at fault. Never the less, the truck driver suffered serious injuries that will affect him and his family a long time.
